{Giveaway} School Holidays Programme: Chinese Holiday Camp by KidStartNow

So fast! In a blink of an eye, it's school holidays again soon! Ever since we moved temporarily to my parents' place in Mar'13, i had stop regular home learning activities with Kyle. He spent most of his time on his toys and the (very harmful) iPad. I had wasted too much time with getting used to life with two children, coordinating the renovation& house moving as well as bringing the children for their hospital appointments. As year end school holiday is longer, it's my highest priority to plan some meaningful programme for Kyle before the year 2013 ends.

I personally think year end babies are short-change with time. Kyle only just turned 4 years old last month, yet he is going to be in K1 in January! Sad to say, he does not know the concept of counting and also cannot recognise numbers yet. Let alone addition and subtraction and Chinese! This is also in my plan to help him, which i seriously got no ideas how i am going to crash course all these. :S I had heard many parents tell me about their struggle with teaching their children Mandarin.. I am already struggling with English and Maths for Kyle.... Boy! i can't say how glad I am to come across KidStartNow!

At KidStartNow, their focus is to help children from 3+ to 6 years old love Chinese. This age is recommended by them as the best time to lay a good foundation in Chinese.

It's good to note that KidStartNow shares the same belief as i do, that is they believe the best way for kids to learn Chinese is to get them interested first rather than force them to learn. To help nurture an interest for Chinese, they use methods like animated story books, role playing, collaborative games and fun activities taught by experienced and encouraging teachers. They also have personalised learning programmes to cater for different kids.

One good thing i note is that they offer free trial for the first lesson of the class so parents can see if their kids like their class before deciding if they want to continue. This shows how confident they are of their programmes! If you are keen, you may visit http://www.kidstartnow.com/  to sign up for a free trial class for your little one!

I am enrolling Kyle into their 4 Days Chinese Holiday Camp

The holiday camp by KidStartKid aims to nurture little children's interest in just 4 days! Suitable for 3+ to 6 years old, each holiday camp accommodates maximum 8 children only. I understand from them that they try to keep the class small in order for more engagement with the children. You can download a copy of the brochure for more information.

4 days of Fun and Engaging Underwater Adventure!

During the four days, the children will be immersed in a fantasy underwater adventure where they will help four friends save cute ocean fishes that have fallen sick due to a fearsome shark. Through the process, they will learn to love reading and using Chinese, and also learn important moral lessons such as not judging others and sharing.

Target Audience:

3+ to 6 year olds of all proficiencies in Chinese

After 4 days, your kids will
* Learn to love Chinese through our animated storybooks
* Develop interest through play, songs, dance, and crafts
* Gain confidence in listening and speaking in Mandarin
* Build discipline and interaction skills from collaborative games
* Appreciate values like sharing and not judging others
