Review: DIY Terrarium Kit by Masons Home Decor

During the 8 weeks circuit breaker, did you wish to grow something green at home? I did!

More than 6 years ago, I was gardening at the community garden in my vicinity. However, the garden was closed down and used for other purposes thereafter. I tried planting at home but all plants died very soon because my house do not get any direct sunlight at all, not even in my corridor. So I gave up the idea thereafter.

Yet I still secretly wish to grow and admire some green right at home, especially more during the circuit breaker for we are stuck at home! I think a terrarium is something easy and fuss-free that we can have at home even with very little sunlight!

Masons Home Decor offers a variety of ready-made terrarium for those who are looking to buy and immediately decorate your home. It ranges from a small pot with one plant to bigger beautifully decorated pieces. However, if you enjoy doing things on your own, do check out their DIY Terrarium Kit!

We received a box of DIY Terrarium Kit by Masons Home Decor. In the kit, it contains the necessary items required to build our own terrarium right at the comfort at home, such as:

  • 1 Set of Shovels
  • 1 Watering Bottle
  • 3 Assorted Bags of Decorative Pebbles
  • 4 Assorted Succulents
  • 2 Glass Jars
  • 1 Bag of Premium Terrarium Mix (Soil)
It's really super-duper convenient for a beginner because I wouldn't know where to source for all the items in small quality (just nice for 1 or 2 terrariums) and I also do not have the time to go out to shop and gather the items.

It seems like the DIY Terrarium Kit offered by Masons Home Decor is very popular and goes out of stock quickly every time they stocked up too. So, do watch their website closely if you are keen to buy your own DIY Kit too!

To build the terrarium, it's super easy and fast that even my boys can do it on their own! You can refer to this complete guide by Masons Home Decor, or you can go to YouTube for some inspirations.

Process of building a small Terrarium

Tadah! It's completed very quickly!

The boys built the bigger terrarium with some assistance from me

Watering after we are done. You only need to water once a week!

It's really therapeutic and fun! My boys and I spent some quality time over the Hari Raya long weekend bonding while building the terrarium together!

We now have 2 completed terrariums to look after and at the same time, green up with home!

About Mason Home Decor

Masons Home Decor was founded with a huge vision and ambition. Our fiery passion has allowed us to grow very rapidly since our inception to be one of the largest manufacturers of solid wood furniture today.

We have always felt that good quality furniture in Singapore always looked bad and consumers were somehow always exorbitantly charged for it. We knew that Singaporeans should not have to burn a hole in their pockets for wanting a nice home filled with long-lasting furniture of stylish designs. It is a birthright for every individual to live in a house that they can call home, and that is where we knew we would be the difference. Developing a factory across the border to construct furniture from wood acquired from South America and Australia meant that we were a step closer to reaching our goals. We then teamed up with some designers and we have constantly come up with new furniture collections every season.

Today, we craft designer furniture of the highest grade of quality while maintaining a very competitive price. Our competitors hate us, but Singapore definitely loves us!

We received the DIY Terrarium Kit from Mason Home Decor Pte Ltd for review purposes. No other form of compensation is involved and all opinions and photos are my own unless otherwise stated. No part is to be copied or reproduced without permission.
