Recipe: Marinated Korean Eggs



So i came across this recipe online yesterday and couldn't un-see what I saw. 😂 My tummy says that I must eat it and so I made a trip to the supermarket this morning! I only spent like less than 10 minutes (including boiling the eggs) to prepare and then i put the covered dish into the fridge for marinating!


For those who are keen, the recipe is from a Korean chef, Seonkyoung Longest. 

Ingredients Needed:
  • 6 room temp eggs
  • 1 red and 1 green chilli chopped
  • 3 chopped garlic
  • Some chopped spring onion
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp fried sesame seeds
  • Sesame oil

Steps: 
  1. Drop eggs in boiling water with 1 tsp salt and 2 tsp vinegar for 6 min then transfer to ice water. Peel the shells.
  2. In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup soya sauce, 1/2 cup honey and 1 tbsp fried sesame seeds. Put in the chopped chillies, garlic and spring onions and mix.
  3. Pour the mixture over the eggs and marinate them overnight in the fridge.
  4. Serve with warm rice. Drizzle some sesame oil on the egg.
