7d6n Okinawa in Pictures: Day 3

Day 3 Itinerary:

Breakfast in Room & Fun at Pool > Manzamo > Orion Happy Park Factory Tour > Aeon Nago Shopping Center > Ginoza Rest Station Playground > Check In Okinawa Marriott Resort & Spa > Aeon Mall Okinawa Rycom

Fun at Sheraton Okinawa Sunmarina Resort

We woke up, had a quick breakfast in the room and changed to head out to the resort's private beach and swimming pool for fun again!

Manzamo

Upon check out from the hotel, we drove about 12 minutes to the picturesque Cape Manzamo, which is famous for the elephant-like cape.

There's a huge amount of cars within the car park and we waited a while before finding a lot. It's a short hike away from the car park and it's packed with humans! it's difficult to walk because the whole pathway is packed with humans (tourists and students on excursions). Nevertheless, we took many beautiful pictures. Which I managed to not show the number of humans there ya. Haha!

Orion Happy Park Factory Tour

Next, we departed for the Orion Happy Park. Before our trip, I have booked online with them a free factory tour which starts at 1140am. There is a huge parking lot (free parking) available directly opposite the factory and a helpful security guard guide us to the lobby to register our attendance. The tour is conducted in Japanese only but it's doesn't stop us from understanding what's going on. Haha.

The number of cans that the factory can canned within 1 minute!

At the end of the tour, each visitor is treated to free beverages - non-alcoholic for children and drivers. 2 freshly brewed beer for adults - ME!

Lunch at Aeon Nago Shopping Center

We drove to the nearby Aeon mall for lunch. The kids found Mister Donut which not only sells yummy donuts but also super good spaghetti!

Playground at Ginoza Rest Station

We were supposed to drive to Okinawa Marriott Resort & Spa to check in, but we took a wrong exit and went all the way to Ginoza (which was on my itinerary for another day)!

It's a good mistake though. For it made our itinerary become smoother. Ginoza is not really near to the places that we planned to go. But this wrong turn on the expressway made us land there within minutes! The kids who fell asleep woke up to this!

It was a really hot day, so we went to the shop to get some drinks to hydrate ourselves. What i really love about Japan is that they have really special and nice drinks!!!!

I cannot forget this very relaxing and nice drink!

Okinawa Marriott Resort & Spa

Finally, we went to check in to our next hotel which will be our stay for 2 nights! The boys couldn't wait, so we changed quickly for a swim at the hotel's pool.

Aeon Mall Okinawa Rycom

We took a really long drive (map says 1 hour, but we took more than 90 minutes because of the traffic!) to Aeon Mall Okinawa Rycom, which is the newest and biggest mall on Okinawa which even include an aquarium! But we arrived a bit late and very famished, so we headed to its food court which spans over 2 storeys for some yummy and affordable dinner. The boys had McDonald's which is located within the food court too!

After dinner, we strolled the mall quickly and bought a lot of tidbits from the supermarket. I didn't have the chance to shop at the super huge Daiso though as it's almost closing time.

The drive back to our hotel took the same long time! We realised that it's difficult to drive at night in Okinawa because the roads are really dark with almost no street lights on many roads! We use the high beam where there are no cars and switched to normal lights when there are cars passing opposite us. Imagine driving in pitch darkness without being able to know really if besides you are building or trees!
