1) Aliens Love Underpants

This has to be on our must watch list as we have the book at home! "Aliens Love Underpants" tells a hilarious tale about aliens that flew to Earth not to take over our planet, but because of their love for our underpants!

Delightfully brought to life against a vibrant set, this pants-tastically fresh and funny tale is sure to enchant and amuse the whole family. Bring your children for this journey into space and find out why aliens have such an unexplainable fancy for the unmentionables! With the plot revolving around the knickers, it is sure to have you snickering!

2) Snow Child

As Autumn leaves fall and the foxes, wolves and bears hide among the trees, a magical story is told, about family, love and the power of dreams.

The first snow falls. Watching the village children play, a lonely couple yearn for a child of their own. They build a small figure from the ice and snow, and wish very, very hard… until the strength of their longing brings the magical snow child to life before their eyes!

She’s a girl like no other. As she dances in the wild landscape and talks with the animals, she brings joy, fun and laughter to the whole village. But it’s not easy, bringing up a wild daughter of the blizzards and the wind. As the seasons turn, and winter gives way to spring and summer, will the Snow Child and her parents find their “happily ever after”?

Olivier Award nominated Wizard Presents brings best-selling children’s author Michael Morpurgo’s treasured story to life.

This intimate show is set in a library full of books that hold more than stories within their pages. It is a tale of the power of books, and the bravery of a young boy called Tomas. Tomas hates reading and school, but his world is turned upside down the day he meets the Unicorn Lady in his local library...

An enchanting and interactive production, I Believe in Unicorns, which won an Argus Angel Award for Artistic Excellence at Brighton Festival, sparks imagination in both young and old. We challenge you not to believe in unicorns after joining Tomas’ spellbinding journey.

Shows Back by Popular Demand

The Gruffalo

Opening the festival is none other than The Gruffalo where the quick-witted Mouse continues to outsmart our beloved grizzly bear in the woods. A classic mainstay at every KidsFest since 2013, The Gruffalo is the perfect show for parents bringing their children to the theatre for the first time. With music, songs and dance to bring Julia Donaldson’s award-winning story to life, there is monstrous fun to be had!

Join Mouse on an adventurous journey through the deep dark wood in this magical musical adaptation of the award-winning book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler (described by The Observer newspaper in England as “a modern classic”). Mouse can scare hungry animals away with tall stories of the terrifying Gruffalo, but what happens when he comes face to face with the very creature he imagines?

Let your imagination run wild with songs, laughs and fun for everyone aged 3 to 101!
Room on The Broom

Yet another favourite by Julia Donaldson – promises a spellbinding adventure on the broomstick. Make sure you sit tight because this is sure to be a wicked ride – complete with a fire-spitting dragon!

Join a witch and her cat as they fly happily along on their broomstick – until a stormy wind blows the witch’s hat, bow and wand away into the night! With the help of a daft dog, a beautiful bird and a friendly frog, her belongings are retrieved. But this broomstick’s not meant for five and – CRACK! – it snaps in two. When a hungry dragon appears, who will save the poor witch? And will there ever be room on the broom for everyone?
