The Things He Said

One fine day, I brought Big Brother home after his early intervention class, to drop off our bags so that we can go out again.

Me: Let's go out again now!
       Quickly!
Take your water bottle out from your bag and bring it!

And a moment later, while we were waiting for the lift at our floor....

He asked: Mummy, why did you ask me to bring my bag?!!

I took a look at him and replied: I told u take out water bottle only!!
Oh my god!

Flashback photos of our Little Brother

Image
Lately, because my mobile phones were giving up on me, so i was doing a lot of backing up of my photos. I also had the chance to look through the photos of the past two years and took the opportunity to reminisce my little boy's growing up moments.

Awww... how time flies!

The Things He Said

When I was revising sight words with Big Brother, he will make sentences with the sight word and shared them with me.

There was a funny sentence that he made up that I must record it down for my memory!
Sight word: up
He said : My Daddy is growing up...
Me thinking to myself huh...
He continued: to become a grandpa!
Wahahahaha! Not really wrong isn't it? Except that I don't know if we will ever become grandparents and I think we are growing old instead! :p

If I am a Time Traveller...

Image
Someone asked "Where will you like to go back in time if you are a time traveller?"

And so, I have pondered over the question again and again, if i have a choice, where do i want to return to?

“The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it.”- Rakifi, Lion King
I have many regrets in my life - I made many mistakes, i have also got hurt by others and have had hurt my loved ones too. Yet, I believed that everything that I had been through had made me who I am and gave me what I have today. So I do not want to revisit or change anything in my past. Everything that had happened made me learnt not to have further regrets (hopefully).

But I realised, there are truly some moments in time that I would love to time travel to! And if I can choose, I would like to be invisible so that I can indulge in those moments, and also I believe I will be tearing non stop watching the moments unfold....

I wanna time travel to these moments because though I am…

The Things He Said

One day, we had dinner at my Mum's and left for home.

While in the carpark, I realised that I had forgotten to bring something home so I asked hubby to drive the car to my mum's block so that I can go up quickly to get it.

Big Brother heard I am going up to Gong Gong's house again so he asked if he can follow me?

Me: No, you wait in the car with Daddy and Didi, I will be very quick.

K: But I want to protect you from bad uncles!

Me: (Awwwww..) Don't worry! I will run super fast! So no bad people can get me!

K: Oh ya! You know why they won't get you?

Me: Why?

K: Because you are a super hero mummy!

(Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww..... I was grinning from ear to ear, not caring about how the people who was taking the same lift as me thinks. My mom asked me why I am so happy, GOD! How do I tell anyone that I am actually a super hero! Haha!)

Book Review + Giveaway: An Alphabet Zoo Phonemic Adventure by JuliaGabriel Creation

If you had followed my blog, you would have known that I have had troubles teaching my elder boy, who has Asperger syndrome(a type of autism), many stuffs from writing to learning the alphabet and also recognising the numbers! We have struggled and made small successes here and there, and this year, with courage and encouragements from my husband, we have finally withdrew Big Brother from his preschool kindergarten to homeschool him. He is turning six and will be going to primary next year, so I would like to spend more precious quality time with him, as well as focus on teaching him to read and spell, which he is struggling in.
Last year, I had read this book review by Motherkao and won a copy of "An Alphabet Zoo" from her blog! Being an inexperienced first time parent last time, now I have also realised my mistake - the importance of introducing phonics to children since young, why? Phonics is the most basic and important skill to acquire in order to start reading!
