Our Lunch at Charly T's

Image
Two weekends ago, we were invited to bring Kyle to Charly T's for a free weekend workshop for children as well as for food tasting. I had no idea what Charly T's offers before the visit and we simply headed down to Katong Mall for the event.

Verdict I must share, this is one Family Friendly Restaurant! For we could actually have our meal in almost peace, and our children were entertained, rest assured, not by our very own ipads which i really dislike! :)

It was one great afternoon for us because while Kyle was guided by a guest instructor on how to design his very own unique door hangers while we were sitting back and having a taste of signatures! He was done pretty quickly but the Kids corner and other children kept him entertained. :)

First thing that caught my attention for this restaurant is the name of countries on the wall. I had initially thought this is a franchise restaurant with outlets all over the world but we soon learnt that the owner of the restaurant is Charly…

I applied for a small plot of land at the community garden and we started growing plants at our allocated lot. Here's sharing an update to our vegetables growing journey. :)

Teach Chinese: Introducing Chinese Words

Image
Before, I have no idea how to teach my boy Chinese at all. I have got many books on Chinese, those 1000 words, or simply Chinese story books. But I couldn't get my boy to sit down with me to look past 3 words before he runs away. Sending my boy to KidStartNow, had helped me to ignite an interest in him to love Chinese. He is now not resisting Chinese  like he used to be, and is able to speak in mandarin and also to read little mandarin words!

Riding on the KidStartNow chinese enrichment classes, I have created my own mini Chinese cards! I printed them out, laminated and cut them, and carry them out with me whenever I go! They are mini so easy for me to choose 2 to 3 characters and carry them in my wallet for me to revise with him on the go. Do note that I have created them for reinforcing his learning in class. Theses words were introduced to him weekly, via mini stories created by KidStartNow. So if you are using it, either you do flashing or you have to find a way to show the ch…

Happy Valentine's

Image
14.02.2014 marks our 10th valentine's day since we got together.
We are never the type to celebrate this day actually. :) love is throughout the year and we showed our love for each other in little ways. him buying my favorite food, him helping out the chores on his own accord, me cooking for him etc.
Though I am so tempted to ask for many things... but what's more important to me is for hubby to continue be healthy and happy and be there for us forever.
To hubby: I love you too! And is still madly in love with you (though we are both older version).

Happy Valentines to my husband and to everyone!!
